Welcome to our site.

The  Axiom  42  was  built  by  Offshore  Concepts during the 90's.  It has since been sold to Challenger Offshore in St. Louis. Started in 1993 by Lance Sonnevelt, his goal was to produce a luxury offshore power boat that’s reasonable in price and performance. He was striving for a smooth, solid ride at high speeds. Built with attention to detail in mind there truly is no other boat in its class that can compare. Better yet the whole boat was gutted and refitted in 2010. Everything was redone on the boat except for the cabin area. I would have done that if I thought there was a need. Pictures do not do it justice. It truly is ONE OF A KIND BOAT. Only three were made. One race deck (Flat deck with 5 ft, 9 in head room below) and two sport decks (1/3 bigger cockpit with 6 ft. 4 in head room). This is the only boat powered by three 540 cu. In. motors.

When running the boat, the first thing that you will notice is the comfort of the ride. It is a little heavier than most boats in this class (12,500 LBS dry). While it won't go 100 MPH (at least with the current power) the ride at 60 MPH is wonderful. It's extremely stable and responsive. The 24  degree dead rise cuts right through the waves like a knife through butter. The laminate schedule was carefully laid down for a 130 MPH V hull. All you need to do is add more horse power and change the pitch of the props. The motors were specifically built with adding 3 Pro chargers in mind. That would provide an additional 175-200 HP per motor.

I'm the original owner of this boat. It is the only one of it's kind! Over 2 years of testing went into the hull and design of the boat. The boats that are manufactured by Challenger Offshore in no way compare to this boat. The custom rigging is unmatched in its quality and workmanship as you’ll see when you inspect the boat. The original sales price for this exact boat in 1997 was $325,000. We go into more detail regarding the boat on the next several web pages. Currently top speed is set at 60 MPH with a cruising speed of 33 MPH. I purposely do this. At my age and health I have no desire to go 90 MPH. My body won’t take it. It does not mean that the boat / drives and motors can’t take it! Just me physically. You can modify the motors to get more horse power out of them very easily. They were built with the best parts that money can buy. After years of fixing motors on boats the last thing I wanted to do was have any problem with these motors. See engines for more details..

Please look through the site for all the detailed information on the boat. Most importantly, please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments that you may have. My phone, physical and e-mail addresses are listed under the contact info tab. I'm motivated to sell the boat quickly and will discuss all reasonable offers. So, on to the boat!
